| When you have a demand for disc purchasement, please read the contents on this page carefully. A detailed introduction is provided hereby to explain what materials needs to be provided by the clients when the disc manufacturing enterprise undertakes the order of replication, as well as the whole process of order implementation. We hope you could get all related materials ready in advance according to the following instructions. Thus, we could save more time to shorten the period of production. Disc processing flow chart:  Explanations regarding some special procedures and requirements in the flow chart of disc processing: I/ to obtain a attorney for replication In order to protect intellectual property rights effectively, the State Administration for News and Publications regulates that, if one wants to make replications for a read-only disc, an authority needs to be designated to examine the contents of the program beforehand. After inspection and approval, the authority shall register a number of publication for it and issue a attorney for replication. As for non-electronic publications such as CD, VCD or DVD-Video, one has to go to the video and audio publication house, which the client entrusts, for the "attorney for replication of audio and video recording products". As for electronic publications such as CD-ROM, DVD-ROM, one has to go to the electronic publication house, which the client entrusts, for the "attorney for replication of electronic publications". The attorney for replication of not-for-sale products shall be obtained from the local news and publication authority at provincial level. To process discs for export, one has to go to the provincial news and publication authority for approval and registration before production, and to the customs for necessary formalities concerning custom clearance and inspection when export occurs. Names of materials to be provided by the clients in terms of copyrights before processing of discs are listed in the form: To compliment away discs domestically: 1. Certificate of copyright possessed by the enterprise, with its common seal; 2. Application for disc replication given by the enterprise to entrust POLYSTAR to produce or process discs, with its common seal; 3. Duplicated documentation of the enterprise's business license, with its common seal; 4. Duplicated documentation of identification card of the person in charge on behalf of the enterprise and his or her contact phone number. To sell discs domestically: 1. Original copy of " attorney for replication of electronic publications" or " attorney for replication of audio and video recording products"; 2. Duplicated documentation of the enterprise's business license, with its common seal; 3. Duplicated documentation of identification card of the person in charge on behalf of the enterprise and his or her contact phone number. To process discs for export: 1. Materials concerning approval and registration by provincial news and publication authority; 2. Certificate of copyright possessed by the enterprise, with its common seal; 3. Application for disc replication given by the enterprise to entrust POLYSTAR to produce or process discs, with its common seal; 4. Duplicated documentation of the enterprise's business license, with its common seal; 5. Duplicated documentation of identification card of the person in charge on behalf of the enterprise and his or her contact phone number; 6. Related import and export contract or processing contract.
II/ Relationship between materials to be provided by the client and production steps:
III/ Terms of payment: Since disc processing is done according to requirements from the clients, it belongs to manufacturing by samples, not like most of other products (such as daily commodities, or even house, furnitures) which are manufactured first and sold second. Intellectual property rights are also connected with the contents of a disc. The manufacturing enterprise can not resell the goods, which have already been refused by another client because of his or her own causes, to other clients. Therefore, as for terms of payment, a prepayment of 30-50% is normally adopted, while the remaining sum shall be paid after the client checks and accepts the goods. The prices for "program production", "design of package and disc surface" and "purchasement of packing" are greatly changeable according to different requirements by the clients. Therefore, you'd better confirm your requirements first and get the price clarified in advance. IV/ Production of film: The film needed in printing of disc surface is different from that needed in printing of paper. Those companies who are not so familiar with the situation often make this or that kind of mistakes when they conduct the film output. It not only wastes time but also increases cost. POLYSTAR suggests you to entrust us to do the film output when you are not familiar with the relevant requirements. There is also another point which we would like to ask for your special attention: when you provide the design document or film, at the same time, you' d better provide us a full-page proof corresponding to the picture with its color and wording consistent with your desired color and wording, or save it as a PDF format document, so as to facilitate us to collate the position of wording and graph. When you do the output of disc surface film, please give instructions with reference to the following requirements: Requirements for silk screen printing of film of 120 mm Requirements for silk screen printing of film of 80 mm Requirements for offset printing of film of 120 mm Requirements for offset printing of film of 80 mm The following diagrammatic instructions are for reference of disc surface printing area of 120 mm disc.
